Legendary vampire hunter Professor Van Helsing believes that nothing really went as planned in Bram Stoker's horror novel Dracula (1897). He has decided to uncover the truth and, for some mysterious reason, start an educational campaign in Seinäjoki — and target the summer theater audience! Yes!
The professor has hired three top actors to help, but before the lecture even begins, the trio has already messed up almost everything.
Can Dracula be done with three actors? How many wigs is too many? And the biggest question: can darkness be played in sunlight?
Heikki Hela, Kaisa Hela, Jani Johansson and Mia Vuorela shine in the roles. Director Miika Muranen combines gothic aesthetics, speed and horror, and promises the wildest laughs of the summer!
The British theatre company Le Navet Bete premiered the comedy Dracula: The Bloody Truth in 2017 in Devon, UK. The Finnish premiere of the summer theatre production will be directed by Mikko Koivusalo.
